He recently refinished a Minnesota foot pedal sewing machine and Victrola that was my grandmother's. I am so lucky I found Finish Pros at the Home Show in Raleigh. I had 2 pieces for them to tackle. They restored and re-upholstered a chair that was my grandmothers and it is beautiful. They also restored a cedar chest that was given to my mother by my father when they were married in the 30's. My mother had spray painted it off white 30 years ago!! They restored it to it's original condition and the woods are beautiful; mahogany, walnut and zebra on the outside and cedar inside. I cried when I saw it.

Finish Pros are the best! I had them refinish a buffet for me. Work was excellent as was the customer service. When they delivered the buffet I had them upholster 2 chairs and a sofa. Talk about a turn key job, I was able to purchase the fabric from them at a reasonable price ( boy do they have a fabric selection). They are great!

Over a period of 4 months refinished a dining room table and 2 leaves along with 8 dining room chairs.  Upholstered the chairs. Upholstered an antique Queen Anne chair and a stuffed club chair. FinishPros refinished several pieces for us a year or so ago and we were so impressed we called him to completely refinish and stain an oak Dining room suite then do some reupholstering.  The pieces were picked up as scheduled and delivered exactly when we needed them.  The quality is excellent.  The pieces are gorgeous. We are so impressed that we have two sofas that we will have him re-upholster within the next few months (one of which was just re-upholstered last year but done badly it needs to be completely re-done.) Dan, the owner is is friendly and professional.  He has gone out of his way to help us with fabrics, suggest finishes and generally make the process as painless as possible.  We cannot recommend Finishpros highly enough.

Two large antique reproduction stuffed chairs with engraved wood trim (perhaps 80 years old) were totally reupholstered and repaired.  All cushions and chair parts were replaced, covered and beautifully edged with cording.  The sewing was beautifully done. The frame parts of the chairs were edged with double rows of cording  as they had been on the originals.  All stuffing was replaced and some webbing, gluing and spring tying was needed. These two chairs were inherited, quite old and  in terrible condition.  I had done some upholstery work and had actually had considered doing the work myself but I was concerned about the detail cording and frame repairs required.  I looked on Angie's list for a fine furniture repair place and was impressed by Finish Pro's ratings.  I am so glad I did as  could not have touched this quality.   I cannot praise this company enough!   I took photos with me to the shop and then they sent someone out to confirm the estimate and pick up the chairs.  The chairs are incredibly  beautiful and make our living room.  All quality of the workmanship  and the communication was excellent.   And, the price was especially  reasonable given the size of this particular job.  I could not be more pleased and I highly recommend Finish Pros.

FinishPros recovered cushions and repaired a sofa, refinished an antique table, and repaired a badly damaged server cabinet. This company is outstanding for service and quality of work. Robert came to our home and gave us an estimate on recovering the cushions and repairing the sofa in our sun room. While he was on site, I asked him for an estimate on refinishing a rather unique antique table, well over 100 years old, that had belonged to my grandmother. He pointed out the unique features of the table and gave a very reasonable estimate. The sofa looks great and the work on the table exceeded my expectations. Dan, the owner, came to our home later to make some minor adjustments on the sofa cushions to ensure a good fit. I asked Dan if they could repair a badly damaged server cabinet that had been chewed on a corner by our dog when he was a puppy. Dan said Chad would come to our home and make the repair. He said we would be amazed at the magic Chad could perform in repairing the damaged piece. Chad's repair work was truly miraculous. Dan, Robert and Chad were all patient, knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and customer focused

Finish Pros is wonderful! Dan took my great-grandmother's circa-1920 vanity and made it beautiful again. Granny purchased the piece used in 1930, and it had never been refinished. He and his people repaired damage so that even I barely know where it was. He removed and refurbished the original brass hardware, and he listened very carefully to my instructions. One of the decorative pieces I did not want repaired; it had been that way since Granny first bought it. Dan fixed the other more "recent" damage, and left exactly the place I intended he leave, no more and no less. Regarding the rocking chair, Dan gently declined to refinish my great-grandmother's rocking chair, explaining to me that it would harm the value of the piece. Instead, Dan disassembled it, reglued it, cleaned it, and polished it. As an added bonus, he told me about the history of the company that made it. When he was delayed about 10 days in completing the rocking chair, he reduced the price. He is a former antique appraiser and a delight to work with. He told me the history of an upholstered chair that was in the living room. I will use him again when I'm ready to refinish and reupholster that piece. His company picks up the pieces and returns them.
